SUIBE Vice President Meets with UClanDeputy Vice-Chancellor

  On the afternoon of 8 March, SUIBE Vice President Nie Qing met with the delegation from the University of Central Lancashire (UClan) led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Liz Bromley. The delegation also included Mr. Tim Steele, Director of International Partnerships at UClan. Ms. Zou Nannan, SUIBE Director of International Exchange Office, and Professor Wan Guanlin, SUIBE Dean of Language School, attended the meeting.

  Reviewing the collaboration between the two universities over the past decade, Vice President Niespoke highly of the positive development in the levels, contents and ways of cooperation. She pointed out that with internationalization as a core development objective in SUIBE 13th Five-Year Plan, great emphasis would be attached to overseas experience of teachers and students and international cooperationof disciplines and courses, thus paving the way for further and broader cooperation between SUIBE andUClan in the years to come.Deputy Vice-Chancellor Bromley briefed her counterpart on the development and internationalization strategies of UClan in recent years.

  During the talks, Ms. Zou updated the UClan guests on the current situation and latest developments at SUIBE, and Professor Wang discussed the plan of internationalization for the School of Language in course development, academic construction, and postgraduate programs. After the meeting, accompanied by Vice President Nie, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Bromley visited the International Business Experimental Center and Interpreting Lab at SUIBE.
