SUIBE Signs Cooperation Agreement with Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń

On the morning of 25 November, SUIBE Vice President Nie Qing met with Professor Wojciech Wysota, Deputy Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (NCU), Poland, and on behalf of SUIBE, signed an agreement of cooperation with the Polish university. Leaders from SUIBE School of Accounting and International Exchange Office were present at the meeting.

During the talks, Vice President Nie expressed a warm welcome to the Polish delegation and briefed the guests on the history of SUIBE, the cooperation between SUIBE and universities in Central and Eastern European countries, and the goals of internationalization in the 13th Five-Year Plan of SUIBE. Professor Wysota gave an account of the summer camps, successive undergraduate and graduate programs of study, and PhD programs in his university. After the talks, Vice President and Professor Wysota signed an agreement of cooperation between the two universities in areas such as joint academic programs, academic research, cooperative studios, and sponsoring of academic conferences, thus marking a new stage in partnership between the two sides.

Founded in 1945, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is located in Toruń, Poland. With over 35,000 students, it is the largest comprehensive university in northern Poland and israted the fifth in the country in the latest rankings. With more than 70 disciplines, the university has 17 faculties, including, among other,Biology and Earth Sciences, Chemistry, Languages, Humanities, Mathematics and Computer Science, Economic Science and Management. In August 2015, its Faculty of Economic Science and Management became an AACSB-accredited business school.
