Under the sponsorship of IMEX UK, Ms. Li Jingjing, a junior student from the International Event Management Shanghai (IEMS), a joint program between SUIBE and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (German: Hochschule Osnabrück) in Germany, recently attended the Annual MPI Conference and IMEX America 2016 in Las Vegas, the US, and made a speech the Future Leaders Forum (FLF), which was widely lauded by the convention participants.
Around April each year, with IT&CM Shanghai as its partner in East Asia, the Future Leaders Forum is jointly run by IMEX (Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events), MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and MCI, a globally integrated association, communication and event management company. FLF has been developed to encourage the best and brightest university and college students to plan for a career in the global meetings and events industry. For the past nine years, SUIBE’s IEMS program has served as the contact point for FLF China, responsible for organizing university students from around China to participate in the forum. The International University Challenge (IUC) at FLF is held in six cities across the world, and the winners of each Challenge in different countries are brought together at the finals of IUC at IMEX in Frankfurt to compete against each other, with their flight and accommodation paid for by the MPI Foundation. At ELF China 2016, Ms. Li Jingjing from SUIBE’s IEMS program won the East Asia championship. In 2013, Ms. Huang Jingxian, a sophomore student from IEMS, became the overall winner of IUC at IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum.
