SUIBE Professor on a Lecture Tour of Incheon National University

Associate Professor Shi Longxiang, SUIBE School of Business, was inIncheon National University (INU), the Republic of Korea, on alecture tour from 27 March to 14 April. He taught the course onChina’s Economy to two classes of 66 students in the GlobalExcellence Program, and his lectures mainly centered on China’s neweconomic normal and supply-side structural reform.

 

During his stay in Korea, Associate Professor Shi met several timeswith Professor Jong Youl Lee, Director of INU InternationalExchange Office, Professor Chad David Anderson, Department ofPublic Administration, School of International Studies, and Dr.Wang Bo, researcher at the Post-doctoral Station, to discussfactors impacting on foreign investment in China, curriculumdevelopment in the Global Excellence Program, and courses offeredby SUIBE teachers at INU. In addition, Associate Professor Shi alsomet with Professor Chan Keun Lee, Dean of the School ofInternational Studies, at the faculty meeting, where he briefedover 40 Korean teachers on the latest developments at SUIBE,covering topics such as strengthening academic exchange, fosteringcloser cooperation, promoting teacher and student exchange betweenthe two universities.

 

INU is the only comprehensive university in Incheon, the hub ofglobal knowledge service designated by the Korean government, andSUIBE’s partner university in Korea. The Global Excellence Programin INU aims to provide cross-discipline undergraduate educationcovering economics, trade, commerce, law, political science, andpublic administration. INU also cooperates with universities fromthe United States, the Netherlands, Germany, and China to broadenstudents’ horizons and improve education quality. Lecture onChina’s Economy is one of those courses delivered by overseas guestteachers.
