SUIBE teams have won 2 Meritorious Winner awards and 13 HonorableMention awards in MCM/ICM 2016.
MCM/ICM (Mathematical Contest in Modeling and InterdisciplinaryContest in Modeling) is an international and pioneering contest ofmathematical modeling, encouraging university teachers and studentsto clarify, analyze and propose possible solutions to open-endedreal-life problems. Each team shall be made up of threeundergraduates, choose any one of the problems, model and preparesolutions to the chosen problem with a time framework of four days,and submit a paper written in English for review. This year’sproblems included A Hot Bath, Space Junk, and The GoodgrantChallenge.
