The closing ceremony of China-Laos Executive English Program tookplace SUIBE’s Gubei Campus on December 25, 2015. Co-organized bythe Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI) and theMinistry of Finance, Lao PDR and delivered by the School of ForeignLanguages, SUIBE, the program was offered to 9 senior officials ofthe Lao Ministry of Finance to develop their English proficiencyand skills in hosting international conferences. Wang Guanglin,Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Li Kouqing, Presidentof AFDI made closing remarks and presented credentials to the Laoparticipants led by Vanida Savaddy, Deputy Director General ofInternational Cooperation Department, Lao Ministry of Finance.
The two-week program was offered in preparation for a series ofevents to be jointly hosted by China and the Lao PDR under theASEAN 10+3 financial cooperation mechanism. Commissioned by AFDIand the Ministry of Finance of China, the School of ForeignLanguages was highly commended by the participants and organizersfor designing and delivering the high quality program.
