On the afternoon of December 5th, 2015, the council meeting of theConfucius Institute (CI) in Zagreb, Croatia, jointly established bySUIBE and the University of Zagreb was held on the Gubei Campus ofSUIBE. Milos Judas，Vice Rector of the University of Zagreb,Kresimir Jurak, Croatian Director of the CI, Nie Qing, VicePresident of SUIBE, Zou Nannan, Director of the InternationalOffice of SUIBE, Wang Guanglin, Director of the Confucius InstituteOffice, and Ye Rong, Deputy Director of the Confucius InstituteOffice attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed and approved the list of the Council members.Director Jurak reported the work of the CI 2014-2015. VP Nie madesuggestions on the work for 2016 in expanding the source ofenrollment and strengthening promotion. The council membersdiscussed the work plan for 2016.
Since its establishment in 2012, the CI in Zagreb has beendeveloping in terms of the number of enrollment and coverage of thecurriculum. Its teaching activities have expanded from the capitalcity to Varazdin and Dubrovnik. The influence of the CI in Croatiahas been growing.
