On 28 April 2014, Ms. Katalin Farkas, International ProgramCoordinator, College of Commerce, Catering and Tourism, BudapestBusiness School, Hungary, came to visit the Gubei campus to discusspossible joint programs with SUIBE. Zou Nannan and Jiang Xiujuan,SUIBE School of Tourism and Event Management, met with Ms. KatalinFarkas.
During the talks, Ms. Katalin Farkas expressed great interest inknowing more about the courses offered by SUIBE and exploring thepossibility of launching teacher-student exchange programs andjoint academic programs. With a highly developed industry oftourism in Hungary, tourism and event management has been a muchsought-after subject of study in the country. Students in BudapestBusiness School may choose relevant courses taught in theHungarian, English or German languages. Zou Nannan and JiangXiujuan briefed the guest on international cooperation programs inthe SUIBE School of Tourism and Event Management, including doubledegree programs, course development programs, teacher-studentexchange programs, and joint research programs. Both sides agreedthat similarities between the two schools such as objectives oftheir academic programs would serve as a good foundation for futurecooperation.
As one of the largest and most influential business institutions inhigher education in Hungary, Budapest Business School has about 600graduates from the College of Commerce, Catering and Tourism everyyear.
