SUIBE Professor Meets with Minister Counselor of the EU Delegation to China

At the invitation of the Delegation of the European Union to China,Prof. Zhang Lei, WTO Chair Holder and Director of the JointResearch Center for International Economic and Trade Governance andChina’s Reform and Opening-up, SUIBE met with Minister CounselorFrancisco Perez-Canado, Head of Trade and Investment Section. Themeeting took place in Shanghai. Mr.Perez-Canado commended the WTOChair at SUIBE for their achievements and exchanged with Prof.Zhang on issues of international economic and trade governance andthe multilateral trading system. They also discussed mattersconcerning collaboration in building think tanks at universities inShanghai, establishing China-Europe Research Institute for ShanghaiFTZ, and organizing China-Europe Workshop for Trade Negotiations,as well as sending SUIBE students to the EU for internships. RenataBrandstatterova from the Delegation and Zhao Jianyun from theOffice of Think Tanks at SUIBE were also present at the meeting.
