SUIBE Wins Second Prize in Jessup China

The 12th Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (China)was held at the East China University of Political Science and Lawfrom February 18 to 22. 40 prestigious Chinese universities,including Peking University, Renmin University, Fudan University,Xiamen University, China University of Political Science and Lawand Shanghai University of International Business and Economicssent their teams to participate in the competition. Composed ofstudents from the law school, SUIBE’s team won the second prizeafter competing with Peking University, Nankai University, ShandongUniversity and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Amongall the teams from Shanghai, SUIBE was the second best performer.

 

Born in 1959, the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competitionis jointly organized by the International Law Students Associationand American Society of International Law. Dubbed as the Olympicsin the field of law, Jessup is the largest and most time-honoredmoot court competition in the world, attracting the participationof over 1000 universities from more than 100 countries each year.It is the 8th time in a row for SUIBE to participate in thecompetition.
