On the afternoon of 13 November 2013, Ms. Kate Caithness, Presidentof the World Curling Federation (WCF), came to visit the CurlingTraining Hall at SUIBE, meeting and talking with student players.President Caithness was accompanied by Mr. Li Dongyan, of theCurling Department, Winter Sports Administrative Center, GeneralAdministration of Sports of China, Ms. Xu Xiaowei, SUIBE VicePresident, Ms. Hu Hong, Director of the Youth Games, ShanghaiSports Bureau, Mr. Chen Yao, Director of the University SportsCenter, and Mr. Cui Shulin, Dean of Physical Education Departmentat SUIBE.
Vice President Xu and Director Chen briefed President Caithness onthe latest developments of the SUIBE curling team and theconstruction of Curling Gymnasium at SUIBE. Pleased to note theprogress of curling on the Shanghai campus, particularly in SUIBE,President Caithness looked forward to seeing SUIBE student curlersin the coming Winter Universiade. President Caithness alsoinspected the Skating Rink at the Shanghai Sports Center forUniversity Students.
