An Honors Program of International Lawyers has been launched in theShanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE)in 2013, following many rounds of surveys, designs and reviewssince SUIBE was named the Shanghai Base for Cultivating TalentedInternational Legal Personnel.
Grounded on the Shanghai Base for Cultivating TalentedInternational Legal Personnel and the “085 Project”, the HonorsProgram of International Lawyers caters to the needs for top-endlegal professionals of international trade organizations, domesticand international law firms, and multinational corporations. TheHonors Program seeks to foster legal professionals that have aninternational vision, cross-cultural communication competence, athorough understanding of relevant fields such as internationaltrade, international investment and international finance, and astrong sense of professional integrity. Admission to the HonorsProgram is based on interviews upon receipt of application fromfreshmen. The Honors Program provides students with core coursestaught in English, double baccalaureate degrees, study abroadopportunities, off-campus internships, and dual tutors guidance.
The launch of the Honors Program of International Lawyers isbelieved to help strengthen international cooperation and improvequality in legal education at SUIBE.
