Led by Prof. Andre Mostert, Development Manager, the Petchey Centrefor Entrepreneurship, University of East London (UEL), 11 studentsfrom UEL visited SUIBE on 7 June. The delegation members sat in onthe course of “international logistics and supply chain management”offered to students from SUIBE’s 2011 pilot class. During theclass, UEL students introduced two of their start-up projects, i.e.“entrepreneurship training for 9-11 year-olds” and “learn to dobusiness by playing games” and invited SUIBE students to cooperatewith them on the projects. On that afternoon, the delegationmembers listened to the presentations made by SUIBE students fromthe 2010 class on their final project report for the course of“entrepreneurship design and practice”.
UEL is committed to cultivating applied talents. Their visit toSUIBE not only helps the two universities better understand theircounterpart’s model of producing applied talents, but also helpsbuild a mechanism that will enable the two universities to conductcooperation in entrepreneurship education and research in thefuture.
