SIFT Professor Goes on a Lecture Tour in Slovenia and Italy

rofessor Zhao Hongjun, Vice Dean of SIFT School of InternationalBusiness, was invited to deliver two lectures during his stay atthe Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana in Sloveniaon 24-26 October. One lecture titled “Chinese Economy: From Closedto Open” was given to undergraduates; the other titled “ClimateChange and Social Instability: Empirical Evidence from ChineseEconomic History” was given to teachers and students of Ph.D.program.

 

At the joint invitation of the Slovenian Educational Consortium (Slov. I. K.) and the University of Trieste,Professor Zhao went to Trieste, Italy, on 25 October to deliver a lecture entitled“Chinese Economy, Culture and Environment: How a Good GovernanceWorks” to Italian bankers, business leaders and the general public.In the lecture, Professor Zhao gave an account of the fast economicgrowth in China during the past three decades, analyzing the causesof China’s growth and predicting its economic outlook.
