Mr. Daniel Palm, Program Director for China Initiatives, Center forInternational Education, Northern Arizona University (NAU), visitedSIFT on 18 September 2012. Mr. Qiu Guixi, Dean of SIFT School ofInternational Studies met with Mr. Palm at the Gubei campus,briefing him on the latest developments of SIFT School ofInternational Studies such as the long- and short-terminternational exchange programs. On the afternoon of the same day,Ms. Xu Dongfeng, Director of SIFT Foreign Affairs Office met withMr. Palm at the Songjiang campus. The two sides exchanged views onteacher exchange and study tour programs, wishing to further theircooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Established in 1899, NAU is a public university in the UnitedStates, with a student enrolment of over 20,000. The W. A. FrankeCollege of Business (FCB) at NAU, which has been fully accreditedby the national accrediting body AACSB International – theAssociation to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, offersbachelor’s degree programs such as accounting, computer informationsystems, economics, finance, marketing and management, and master’sdegree programs such as MBA and accounting. FCB has over 370international students from more than 70 countries, and studentsfrom China accounts for about 10%.
