SIFT Professors Awarded ACC 2012 Special Book Prize for Translation

Professor Wang Guanglin, Director of the Australian Studies Centreof SIFT attended the 13th Australian Studies Conference from July6th to 9th. Themed “Globalization and Imagination”, the conferencewas co-hosted by the Australian Studies Centre of Xihua University,Australia-China Council (ACC) of the Australian Department ofForeign Affairs and Trade, and the Australian Studies Association.The Hon Warwick Smith AM, Chair of ACC presented the ACC 2012Special Book Prize for Translation to SIFT Professor Huang Yuanshenand Professor Wang Guanglin and translators from SIFT for theirseries of ten Australia Novels and in honor of their specialcontributions to the translation and studies of Australian literaryworks.
