On June 23, 2001, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)presented President Sun Haimin with the Award of an HonoraryDoctorate on the Commencement Ceremony of the SIFT-UCLan JointProgram.
Angela Murphy, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UCLan read the citation,reviewing the academic career of President Sun and his researchprojects at the national, ministerial and Shanghai Municipallevels. She spoke highly of President Sun’s achievements inresearches in the fields of regional and industrial economics.Malcolm McVicar, Vice Chancellor of UCLan presented the award.
