On March, 4th, an eight-person delegation from The Northern StateUniversity (NSU) headed by its President Dr James Smith and DrWillard Broucek, dean of its Business School, visited SIFT. WuKemin, director of SIFT Executive Board, Xu Dongfeng, director ofthe International Affairs Office and Qiu Guixi, dean of theInternational Studies School met with the guests.
SIFT maintains a long-term cooperative relationship with NSU. SIFTsends students to NSU every autumn semester. Among all the exchangeprograms, SIFT-NSU program involves the largest number of students,who have benefited a lot from their study and life in NSU. NSUteachers are deeply impressed by SIFT students’ English skills,overall competence and performance in social activities.
During the visit, the two sides had a further discussion about thecooperation in student exchange program and other related issues.In particular, they exchanged views on increasing the number ofexchange students and the possibility of spring semester exchangeprogram. After the meeting, the NSU delegation met the students oflast year’s exchange program and those who intend to apply for theprogram this year. The delegation gave a detailed introduction ofthe program and answered questions raised by the students.
