On September 16th, SIFT celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Alumnifrom home and abroad gathered together to celebrate the fiftiethbirthday of their alma mater. The ceremony kicked off at 9:30 a.m.in the stadium of Shanghai University Student Sports Center.

President Sun Haiming reviewed the splendid achievements of SIFT inthe past 50 years and expressed SIFT determination to grasp newopportunities brought by a new round of development in China’shigher education according to the spirit of national and Shanghaimunicipal medium and long-term educational reform and developmentplans. SIFT would continually improve its teaching quality andacademic level and make great efforts to build SIFT into a leadinguniversity among its kind, a high-level internationally influentialuniversity of international business and economics with distinctuniversity characteristics in academic disciplines and way ofoperation.
