On the morning of Sep 25th, a three-person delegation from theUniversity of East London headed by John Shaw, its vice presidentin charge of international affairs visited SIFT. Xu Xiaowei, vicepresident of SIFT, met with the delegation. The two sidesintroduced the current situation and development of each universityand had a discussion about the possibility of cooperation in mutualrecognition of credits, short-term students exchange andinternship, faculty visits and so on. Both sides wanted to put theagreement into practice as soon as possible and start substantiveactivities of academic exchange. John Shaw also expressed sincerecongratulations on coming 50th anniversary of SIFT.
Wang Guanglin, dean of Language School, Nie Qing, dean of BusinessSchool, Ling Jie, deputy dean of Finance School, Qiu Guixi, dean ofInternational Studies School, Yang Xiaoyan, deputy-director ofPost-Degree Training Centre and Xu Dongfeng, director ofInternational Affairs Office also attended the meeting.
