On May 2nd, a delegation of 5 people led by Mr. GratitudeMagwanishe, Deputy Chief Whip of African National Congress of SouthAfrica (ANC) paid a visit to SIFT. Xu Xiaowei, SIFT vice presidentmet with the guests.
Mr. Magwanishe is taking the opportunity of visiting Shanghai andthe Expo 2010 to visit universities with specialties in trade andbusiness and to seek cooperation between relevant universities inthe South Africa and those in China. Mr. Magwanishe visited SIFT atthe recommendation of the South Africa Chinese General Chamber ofIndustry and Commerce. He intended to recommend SIFT to his almamater and hoped that the two universities could cooperate instudent and faculty exchanges and scientific research. He said thatfaculties from the two universities would be endowed with promisingperspective in such fields since China’s rapid economic developmentand developing mode has given great inspiration to the economictake-off South Africa.
Vice-president Xu Xiaowei gave an introduction on SIFT andexchanging programs in SIFT and welcomed relevant universities inthe South Africa to cooperate with SIFT.
Nie Qing, Dean of SIFT International Business School , WangGuanglin, dean of SIFT School of Languages, Xu Yonglin, dean ofSIFT Finance School, Qiu Guixi, dean of SIFT International Studiesand Xu Dongfeng, director of SIFT International Exchange Officewere also present at the meeting.
