November 11th, Vice President of SIFT met with Caroline Rice,International Programmes Administrator, and Andrew Hemingway,senior teacher from Hertford College Oxford University. Qiu Guixi,Dean of the School of International Studies of SIFT, also attendedthe meeting.
It was a return visit by the Hertford College to appraise SIFTstudents’ achievements in the first summer study tour in HertfordCollege where they attended the Economics and Business Englishprogrammes.
Leaders and professors of Hertford College Oxford Universityacknowledged the SIFT’s way of selecting students and instructorsto the study tour, and appreciated SIFT students’ Englishproficiency and performance in the classroom discussions and finalreport.
It is reported that Hertford College has already startedcooperation in its summer program with 6 Chinese universities,including Peking University, Shanghai University of Finance andEconomics, Shanghai International Studies University, ShanghaiInstitute of Foreign Trade, etc. Summer study tours coveringprogrammes of Economics and Business English are carried outannually. This summer was the first time for SIFT to take part init.
