SUIBE Holds 2026 Conference on Undergraduate Education and Teaching

On the morning of July 3, SUIBE held its 2026 Conference on Undergraduate Education and Teaching in Conference Room A1 of Xuesi Building at Songjiang Campus. SUIBE President Wang Rongming addressed the conference. SUIBE Vice President Xu Yonglin presided over the meeting.

Wang Rongming reviewed SUIBE’s achievements in undergraduate education over the past year and expressed sincere gratitude to faculty members for their dedication. Looking ahead to the next phase of work, he put forward three requirements. Priority should be given to talent development in fields facing acute shortages, with training tailored closely to national and Shanghai‑based development strategies.Greater efforts should be devoted to advancing AI‑driven reforms in education and teaching, so as to build a brand‑new digital‑intelligent ecosystem for talent cultivation. Besides, deeper industry‑university collaboration for joint talent training should be pursued to form a complete closed‑loop mechanism for co‑education between universities and enterprises.

In his concluding remarks, Xu Yonglin called on all schools to devise annual action plans aligned with SUIBE’s comprehensive reform roadmap. He encouraged faculty to proactively adapt to smart and digital transformation and strengthen industry-education integration, while urging administrative departments to bolster resource allocation, refine policy incentives, and optimize service platforms, so as to translate high-level reform blueprints into tangibleground-level outcomes.
